Rules: 1. If a Pokemon's health is at 0, release it.
2. With the exception of duplicate and knock outs, the 1st Pokemon in each area must be caught.
3. All caught Pokemon must be given nicknames.
4. Legendaries cannot be caught or used, unless it is important in order to advance in the game.
5. Only use items whenever not near any Pokemon Centers while in route to next town; do not use items in battle, and do not let Pokemon hold items. Only can buy MooMoo milk and use certain kinds of berries.
6. Game is over if trainer is unable to advance in the game; any white/black out is an automatic game over.
